From Head to Toe : Two Breakthrough Fashion Pieces of 2017

As if the title didn’t give this away, I am here to address what seem to be two of the biggest trends from 2017 (that have definitely carried over into 2018.)

You may, or may not, have been a fan of this very popular trend, but after hitting the scene, these two items definitely developed quite the cult following: Floppy Wool Hats & Ankle Booties (heel preferred but not mandatory.)

These two pieces really made a break through during this past fall season, but here I am in February still talking about them.

They began in classic warm tones (or black, because you can’t go wrong there) that really fit in with the fall season. Colors such as cranberry, burnt orange & warm browns made these pieces catch the eye. But the most important thing about them? The material!

Here is one of my favorite wool hats that I found at Target for $19.99! It is a beautiful deeper tan color that I just can’t get enough of!

The wool hat brings such an interesting texture to any outfit & can act as the perfect accessory to top off your ensemble, just like a cherry at the top of a delicious ice cream sundae! Paired with layers and a dark wash jean, or any flowy dress that you can find, and you are immediately transformed into a boho beauty of autumn - this is why the wool hat broke into the scene.

As for the booties? They have easily become one of my favorite pieces ever. The booties started off in similar warm/burnt colors because these are the colors associated with fall.

But for the booties - material is everything! You could get a leather bootie, a fabric bootie or, my personal fav, a velvet bootie!

Here are my favorite booties that I scored at Marshall’s on clearance for $17.00! Such a steal right? My favorite way to wear these booties is paired with my dark wash jeans that are frayed at the ankle!

These outfit pieces broke onto the scene out of nowhere & now practically everyone owns at least one of these two pieces. They are so versatile and are truly perfect for any style. Whether you like to dress more on the edgy side or love a good preppy look, these pieces belong in your closet. At first we thought they were seasonal but now they seem to be taking on more of an evergreen effect - my prediction is these two pieces won’t be going anywhere anytime soon so go and get yours!
